I’ve been writing my blogposts as basically semi-informal essays for the past while. structured with theme, decent word count (all of them so far have been 600+ words, with several being over 1,000) and decent care put into grammatical conventions. Not my professional voice, of course, but the type of punctuation and capitalization I might use when texting my parents.

while I am the kind of freak that enjoys writing essays (I do have several full-fledged papers I want to write in mind), the issue with that is that writing essays is quite difficult! and it takes a lot of time and energy! I’ve also been trying to work on other parts of my site (see the characters page! I’ve been trying to do a bit of writing there) as well as doing work for other projects and classes.

so, I was looking at other people’s sites, and after looking at the blogs of both j and inkstain (two artists I think are cool) I realized. wait. I can just do this, like, super small scale and informally. nobody’s stopping me. maybe it clutters my blog tab, but, like, I could probably figure out how to separate posts into categories. I don’t think Zonelets has in-built support for it, but it’s probably pretty doable. actually, im curious about this brb

yeah, i think there’s ways to do it. the easiest way (and probably the way I would go with) would be to make separate pages for different categories of post (and include separate .js files for those post arrays). Would be mildly annoying, but I think it could be something worth looking into! not right now though, i don’t have enough posts to care about that. might play with getting it working tho if i remember

if i think more about it maybe figuring that out could become a blogpost

anyways, I like this sort of rambled style of writing about whatever I wanna write about. no planning, just off-the-cuff rambles with barely any revision. basically just a written train of thought. it’s fun! it’s one of the things I liked a lot about my introductory post. the others were less unfettered thoughts and more specific things I had to research, which is still fun, but a teensy bit less so than just talking. maybe i burnt myself out of that with the kirby slideshow…

oh yeah! maybe less images too. finding images kinda interrupts my train of thought unless its relevant. i don’t really have like a reaction image folder on my computer, so i would have to go out to find em and it would kill my flow💔

so!! I think I will still probably do more essay-styled posts sometimes, but I think I wanna just ramble more often about things i’m thinking about. nobody is using me as an authority on anything (at least, i hope not) so i think i’m safe to just ramble provided i’m not like spreading misinformation or anything

OH i should mention the blog retheming too, since it's been updated since last post. i gave it rounded corners, LOOK i KNOW they me look like a tech conglomorate but i LIKE the rounded corner!! (and hopefully the Green counteracts it. it might be a little too bright and i should maybe figure out how to make a dark theme but. it's not toooo bad i hope?)
