I have a brain that gets really attached to the most middle-aged office worker things imaginable. As most people who know me well know, I love making slideshows, and I think the same sort of thing applies to lists. I’ve always had a sort of infatuation with ranking things and I don’t know why. Tier lists, “favorite things” lists—hell, back in my video production class, I used to do a show where I made my peers rank abstract things like colors and whatnot.

SO! This is a segue into me talking about Topsters. Topsters is a really cool website and I like it. I’ve seen people’s lists made with it passed around on social media for YEARS, but it was only recently when I actually found out what the website was after my GOAT remy told me (hi remy I love you remy). And after seeing that #my9games thing being passed around, doing one myself, and realizing “WOW 9 games is really constrictive”, I made a top 30 games and top 64 albums list. I’m gonna talk about those now because I want to.

A Topsters chart of 64 albums. I apologize, I am too lazy to type the full list for alt text. The top five are Nurture by Porter Robinson, plastic death by glass beach, Wallsocket by underscores, The Normal Album by Will Wood, and CHASER by femtanyl; go listen to those.

I went back to the album one after typing that and had to reorder things for a solid 20 minutes. I like music!! Honestly, 64 STILL wasn’t enough; I had to cut some projects I do quite like (AND my guilty pleasures, sorry Ace of Hearts). I think that my ranking currently is pretty solid to my beliefs right now, though! There were quite a few things I honestly didn’t expect, like iDKHOW’s Gloom Division making it up to #28 or Crying’s Beyond the Fleeting Gales next to it at #27, which are both albums I believe I’ve only listened to front-to-back once. I guess seeing iDKHOW live really elevated that album for me, and I’ve wound up listening to a lot of that Crying album regardless. I do think all of these are pretty great albums (or EPs) though!

A Topsters chart of 30 games. I apologize, I am too lazy to type out the full list for alt text. The top five are Minecraft, OneShot, In Stars and Time, Bug Fables, and Celeste.

The game one also wasn’t enough, despite me upping it from the initial 25 slots! There were like 5 other games that I quite like that should’ve also been there. Of them, notably, is A Hat In Time, which is where my Steam pfp is from. That one just BARELY missed the top 30 range. Same for Placid Plastic Duck Simulator. Honestly, PPDS was closer to making it. Frankly, I wasn’t expecting to list Pokemon Crystal (or more specifically the patch Crystal Clear) as high as I did. I really loved that game a lot more than I thought looking back—super fun time, highly recommended. Also, Celeste fell from #2 to #5 since the last time I thought about my top games! I think I’ve become a lot more of an RPG guy, as someone who doesn’t really play RPGs. Writing that just reminded me that I didn’t put TTYD on there, so, uh, imagine that's below Neon White. I’m not going back and re-exporting it, sorry y’all 💔

Honestly though, if you want to hear me yap about any of these things at length (either in another blogpost or one-on-one), PLEASE let me know, I would love that.

Anyways, on topic with this post, it’s been a while since I got far in the Dragonfly Cave favorite Pokemon thing. I never got super committed to it, but I think at one point I got to like 200 Pokemon on one, which is frankly nothing on my friend who ranked ALL OF THEM. He put Shuckle in last and I still don’t understand his beef with that thing. Either way, apparently I did get through the first phase of that recently! Let me go get a decent number on that real quick.

Okay, I’m back! Took about 30 minutes to get it from 20 to 200. Here’s the top 160:

A list of 160 Pokemon; the top 5 listed are Noivern, Decidueye, Noibat, Dragonite, and Lurantis.

I think this is pretty accurate to my favorite guys! I like all these freaks a lot. The site notably doesn’t have any of the new Z-A megas, but I guarantee some of those would also be up there, especially the couple I mentioned in my post on the game. Not on topic, but I recently went back and played the SV dlc, so I Might ramble on that at some point, we'll see if I lose interest in writing about it

Okay, I think I'm nearly done, but this post would be incomplete if I didn't do a tier list as well. Tier lists are neat - I always prefer to order them as well though, so the tiers generally end up pretty arbitrary unless there's a very considerable jump. Rather annoyingly, my internet is out while I do this, so I have to make my tier list on mobile. And wow, mobile UI for TierMaker is bad. Certainly does not aide my problem of not knowing what to rank. I was going to do Cookie Run cookies based on how edible they look, but why are there SO MANY of them holy MACKEREL

So we're just doing emoticons :3

A tier list of emoticons. I feel like putting this into alt text would mess up a screen reader.

...I don't really know how to elaborate on this one. I think that's a good place to cut off the post.
