personality

stereotypical jock-type. popular guy with a tight friend group; generally considered the leader of the pack. constantly trying to impress his peers. quite cool with everybody who meshes well with him and his group, and is fine to be around on his own. toxic masculinity, represses much of what he feels, refuses to even seem vulnerable. incredibly bitter towards those he dislikes, can't let go of grudges.

Nych
great friends for a while after Nych moved into town, but he ended up getting more mixed up with Apollo and his group. still hang out semi-frequently but it's obvious he's changed and they're nowhere near as close now

Thinks he took Nych from him, bitter about it. Doesn't voice it in order to not piss off Nych.

story

grew up with a relatively privileged, nuclear family. dad was a major role model, being quite a prolific college athelete. he struggled to impress him for most of his life, not really succeeding very often

this extended into his personal life, where he asserted himself with most of his friend groups. he was a good leader who a majority of people liked, but as he grew closer to his close friends, his world became a lot more insular and he became a tad more flippant to those who didn't fit in that group

fast forward, Nych moves into town, they get along great! practically mirror images of each other from what he sees. they spend a lot of time together, but eventually Nych finds a new friend group and starts being more open about himself, causing Lune to get more disillusioned, blaming that group for changing his friend and taking him away. Recedes into the rest of his friend group.

I have an outline of an AU where Nych never meets Apollo and this guy would be HELLA relevant in that. but I should probably write like the real lore before that gets released. tl;dr rocky relationship into a toxic breakup which fucks both of them up for years
